Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business for IT products and services including Network, Data Center, Security, Cloud and Consulting offerings.  You will be responsible for creating a consistent and sustainable pipeline of business opportunities with new customers and teaming with the Engineering team to identify and close new deals.  You will also be responsible for knowing, and effectively communicating the company’s unique value proposition related to our Engineering-centric delivery of IT solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and report on a sales pipeline within the territory
  • Partner with Clients and Principle Engineers to identify and develop customized IT solutions
  • Work with key Technology Partners to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with the Engineering team
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of our products and services
  • Adhere to CRM, business processs, and activity management standards
  • Develop and implement marketing events & activities designed to develop new business deals

Required Experience

Essential requirements include a verifiable track record of production and success selling similar IT services and solutions.

Additional qualification/requirements you must demonstrate are…

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exceed individual monthly and quarterly quotas
  • Minimum 5 years experience selling complex IT infrastructure solutions to Mid-Enterprise customers such as Cloud Computing, Managed Security, Networking, Data Center, Security, Assessments, BC/DR
  • Strong Rolodex of relevant Carolinas-based customers
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to build out new territories
  • Set challenging goals, monitor progress, and make sure that results are achieved as planned
  • Demonstrated command of the industry, and confidence to present solutions and their business benefits
  • Be a self-starter with a high energy level and drive, while remaining true to high standards of virtue
  • Responsiveness and thorough follow-up with customers and prospects
  • Outstanding organizational and process skills to ensure top priorities are consistently being pursued
  • Must be persuasive over the phone and adaptable to problem solving different scenarios
  • Strategic sales training, Solution Selling and/or process-oriented sales approach
  • Hunter type personality combined with board room presence and presentation skills
