Job Title: Senior Application Developer Job Number: DT04180801 Overview Senior Application Developer (VB/VBA,PL/SQL) The Senior Application Developer will play a key role developing and implementing a cutting-edge solution in an Excel/VBA/PLSQL environment. The candidate should be familiar with all phases of the software life cycle, adept ability for multitasking and able to work in a high pressure environment. This role requires a high level of business interaction, typically intefacing directly with the business users to ascertain requirements, build and manage projects through delivery. Furthermore, requires the candidate to possess good communication skills. Candidates are required to have strong commercial Excel VBA experience. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to acquire business critical product management experience in a very specific industry, and forge important relationships with the helpdesk, operations and technology teams. Required Experience A bachelors or masters degree 7+ years of application development experience 5+ years of experience with VBA/Office Demonstrated skills in strong code design and software quality testing. Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize and organize multiple tasks Strong communication and leadership skills, including a track record of responsibility for managing projects and client relationships, leading design sessions, and conducting status meetings. Strong experience in interface design, application architecture and database design. Some experience with Business Objects Planning XI and Oracle PL/SQL is helpful. Ability to learn new business concepts quickly and thoroughly. Ability to closely manage the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the business and timing requirements are met. Self-motivation and drive to work effectively as part of a team, and to fully learn how our customers use our applications.
