The 2006 Northern California Career Management Summit
Bringing Out the Best in You


DANVILLE, CA – Hosted by Job Connections, a free half-day conference targeted to Bay Area professionals looking to enrich their personal and professional lives will be held Saturday, July 15th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville, CA.

The conference will feature four prominent speakers discussing the strategic resume approach, marketing and branding yourself, taking charge of your career, and making a difference in everything you do.  This year’s event promises to be filled with key information you can use to effectively manage your professional life.

ON THE PROGRAM

  • Dan Rink – Career Coach and Trainer.  Dan provides seminars, workshops, and coaching for managers and professionals in career transition.  He will present the "Strategic Resume" approach that describes job search documents which are tightly integrated and strategically targeted to a specific career objective. Over the past ten years, Dan facilitated hundreds of career workshop sessions, delivered keynote presentations, and participated on local radio and national TV programs.

  • Thomas Holownia – Principal and Brand Strategist at Blended Thinking.  Tom will present on how to communicate a clear, concise, and compelling story when you are job hunting.  Tom’s award-winning work has driven results for such brands as Charles Schwab, Nortel Networks, Kraft Foods, Discovery Channel Store, and many more.

  • Dennis Thompson – Founder and Managing Partner of Thompson Associates.  Dennis will speak on Taking Charge of Your Career.  He leads a career counseling and management practice specializing in helping people create their own job in the “Hidden Job Market”.  He and his team have helped hundreds of clients successfully create multiple opportunities regardless of the economy.

  • Terri Langhans – Founder of Blah Blah Blah Etc., Inc.  This year’s keynote speaker provides powerful insights and plenty of laughs.  Terri’s message offers a new perspective, simple strategies, and tangible tools to use right away to rekindle a positive attitude and productive work environment.  Her presentation is titled “More Than a Paycheck: Lessons Learned on Making a Living, Making a Difference and, Sometimes, Just Making it Through Another Day.”  Terri equips her audience with more pride, confidence, and enthusiasm for the work they do, knowing that what they do matters and makes a difference in someone’s world, every day.
